Draft — will be updated before public launch
Terms of Service
Last updated October 10, 2026
This is a short, plain-language draft of the rules for using Gauntly during early access. Full terms will replace it before our public launch.
Only test your own apps
You may only add and check apps that you own or have permission to test. That's why we ask you to prove each app is yours before we check it.
How checks behave
- Quick Checks and the four AI visitor personas use a guarded browser that blocks form submissions and risky actions. Cheater and Hacker use separately approved request recipes on a verified staging origin with disposable test accounts. These recipes can write test data and require cleanup; payment recipes require test mode. How Gauntly tests your app.
- Code access is read-only. Uploaded .zip files are deleted right after the review.
- Reports and fix prompts are suggestions. Please review changes before you publish them.
- Gauntly is still being built. Features, limits and prices may change.
Sharing
Public badges and launch certificates are off until you turn them on. They show only your app's name, address, scores, environment, version and remaining problem counts. Public release receipts also share the selected evidence snapshot, promise descriptions and owner exception notes.
Paid access and credits
Builder and Studio are one-time 30-day passes. They do not renew automatically. Included credits reset each calendar month (UTC) on Free and every 30 days from the start of paid access on paid plans. Unused included credits do not roll over; an expired pass uses Free limits. A top-up provides 150 credits for 90 days; a launch pack provides 220 credits for 30 days. Packs do not enable paid-only testers.
Credits are reserved before work starts. Failed, canceled or expired jobs return unused credits. Cheater and Hacker charge only for conclusive scenarios; a finding that your app failed its rule is still a completed test. Provider spending limits and fair-use ceilings also apply. Lemon Squeezy (or PayMongo for payments in Philippine pesos) hosts checkout.
Fair use
Don't use Gauntly to attack, overload or harm any website, or to get around the limits of your plan.
No guarantees
Gauntly runs automatic checks. We work hard to find problems, but we can't promise to find every one, and a good score or certificate is not a guarantee that an app is safe. Gauntly is provided “as is” during early access.
